Aditi~ Goddess for September

So just this morning I pulled from my Goddess Inspiration Oracle Guide deck and this month I will be studying a little with the Hindu Goddess Aditi.

Aditi~Mother Space

Creation
Universe
Nurturance

In India, Aditi is honored as the creator of life. For it was Aditi who gave birth to the gods and goddesses, they, in turn, brought everything into consciousness, thus creating what we consider reality.

The benin goddess is addressed as Mother Space because she gave birth to the planets and stars. Some associate her with thre endless sky, appropriately, her name translates as "limitless".

Her children, known collectively as the Adityas, are connected with the twelve months of the year. They also symbolize the twelve signs of the zodiac, whom some believe control fate.

"Your thoughts create reality. Be conscious of what you choose."
Mother Space

Moon Goddess Isamba~ Goddess for August

So I didn't realize how long its been since I've done a blog entry for my monthly Goddess. So here is last months Goddess Isamba. I felt a real connection with her even though I found it hard to find much information on her via the internet. So this info is from my Goddess Inspiration Oracle Guide.

Isamba~ Goddess of the Night

The Moon
Death
Cycles

Isamba, a goddess of the Issansu people of Tanzania, was considered the personification of the moon at night. She was married to the sun god.
When Isamba competed with her husband to discover which of them was the wisest, she accidentally became the creator of death. Since then, she has been associated with the cycle of life.

The moon, with its predictable cycles of waxing and waning, has long been associated with the cycle of life and death. Our Individual lives also go through cycles of waxing and waning, though they may mot be a clearly delineated as those of the moon. If we understand that what is empty will eventually become full again, it becomes easier to accept that all is as it should be in our lives.

"You are where you are meant to be. Cultivate acceptance."

*This Goddess came to me at a very important time in my life and helped me out a ton.

Yes I'm a HOT WITCH!!!

LOL, yep cause it's gotten to 107 degrees where I live.
Ugh so strange I was born and raised in the desert and I've never liked the heat. I can see a big change in our Mother Gaia as it has never been this hot for so many days straight and gotten there so fast. Our winters here are colder. No snow but last year we got a lot of freezes and I have never seen that before.
Even at 8pm it's still very hot. My honey works nights and gets home around 4:30am and we have to water then or at 9pm. Either way we are doing it in the dark.
4th of July is coming up and that is my mothers birthday and we are trying to think how to pull off her being comfortable and cool while having a bbq. Sheesh I just dont know.
Well whatever your plans are I wish everyone a fun and safe 4th please watch your fireworks/embers cause our mother earth cannot afford to have more fires going on then she already does. And lets send some good energy out there to help all who have been affected by these forest fires.
Love and Light.......

Last weeks full moon.

Well last weeks full moon was the first Esbat where I did not do any ritual but the energy I got was crazy good and creative. So I ended up working in my BOS, made candles in orange peels and sea shells. Made dream pillows with my oldest daughter, organizing my herbal shelf, made a new working candle and we did make wishes with our flying wish paper. If you don't know of flying wish paper or have never done it I highly recommend it. Especially if you have young ones. I buy it at my local metaphysical book store but I've seen it at book stores and you can order it online. I will even put a video I found on YouTube so you can see what I'm talking about. I will also add pics of that nights house happenings.

And the following day was Venus in transit but sadly we missed it cause we had a family appointment which was at the same exact time as the event but I've seen a few pics and vids of the transit and what a wonderful sight. I did find one pic of it that I really like.

So all and all not to much to say. I'm looking for a job again and have a few interviews coming up, wish me luck. I figured since the baby will be in school mama needs to keep herself busy so I don't feel so lonely throughout my day. Oh how fast they grow.

Well that's it for now friends.

Below is a video link on You Tube of FlyingWish Paper. Go check it out.

My two helpers. Helped with my BOS and candle making.

My new working candle with lavender, glitter, rose petals and I hand carved moon and star.

Well I wanted to show you the orange and seashell candles and the dream pillows but my upload is being a butt, lol. So maybe I add it later. Hope everyone has an awesome week ahead. Blessings.....

Catching Up....

So looking over my blog I noticed there were many events/memories that I did not blog about. So this one will be a catch up blog so if its a little long I'm sorry. I think there will be more pics than anything, lol.

First I noticed nothing was said about my Ostara. It was quiet and lovely. I made Ostara baskets for my two daughter and my mom. We colored eggs and ate a ton of candy. We left the dinner for Easter as I'm trying to accommodate my moms beliefs as well plus that is how I was raised so we honor both Pagan and Christian holidays in my home.

Below is a pic of our Ostara table.....

Next is a couple of pics of my youngest with her Ostara basket. She's funny, after she got it she said she couldn't wait for her Easter basket. I told her she got an Ostara basket and that was it. She turns and tells me "No that basket was from the Goddess, I'm waiting for the one from the bunny now." Oh boy kids........

Next was Beltane and the super moon. We had a lovely time but both of the girls did go home sick. They came down with a 24 hour flu bug. But the sabbat and super moon where still filled with magic. Below is a picture of my personal altar at home and the Maypole at the Beltane celebration.

Super moon pictures. Sorry camera cell phones don't do it justice at all but I'm happy I got a few pics of it.

Oh yeah and back tracking even further to Earth Day. We all went to IHOP for an extra early breakfast and we all ordered the Lorax breakfast and planted our seeds they gave us that day. Now after all these years I can finally say I ate green eggs and ham. Yay!!

That's it folks. I think I'm all caught up for now, lol. Thanks for tuning in. Blessed Be!

OH MY GOD!!!!

So yeah the title says it all.
I've been thinking about my connection with the God lately and noticed I tend to forget about him at times and of course do favor the Goddess. But the last couple of days I've done 2 shrines devoted to the God and my daily devotional altar I re-did to represent both the Lord and the Lady.
I also went online looking for a few pics I might like.
One is a cool one where you can see him in the snow on a tree (Love It) but the other just made my jaw drop.
Oh my God I never salivated so much in my life, lol. Even my best friends and my teen daughter were like "WOW".
Of course my hubby my man-witch got a little jealous especially when he saw I made that pic my desktop picture but he's okay with it. I think.....any who I just wanted to share that with ya and include the pics for all to enjoy.

Magical Family

I feel so happy that I have my little minions here in the house. LOL, all mai little wee folk who follow a magical path in some shape or form.

It was hard there for a few years. I was a young single mom who not only had to take care of myself and an infant but also got responsibility of my elderly sick mother who had no income at all. So working 35-36 hours a week at $7.50 was killing me and a very big burden on my shoulders. Then she (my mom)  is a hard core Christian to boot and I had to hear every day about how silly I was on choosing to be Pagan and hearing her teach my first born about Jesus and such. I never thought I would ever feel comfortable in my own home. But being a new mom, early 20's I didn't have much of a voice. Geez this was forever ago like 15 years or so.

Now at age 38 with a fiance' who does Dragon Magic along with being a practicing Druid, my first born picking to follow my pagan path after having to go to Catholic, Christian, and even temple with her Jewish grandmother (on her dad's side) I felt honored that she picked my path, getting a foster son who studied deep magic and is a very knowledgeable young man in his own right, and now having a 4 year old that by my choice is being taught to be a pagan. Yes my mom is still here teaching my youngest about Jesus but that's okay because I'm no longer dismissed on my beliefs or my religion is not being called silly.

I have altars and shrines all over my house along with a lot of fantasy type decor. Yes finally after all these years I have my magical home and my magical family. I love walking in and seeing them do their practice. My baby girl loves full moon rituals it so cute to see her talk to the Goddess and I love how after dinner my foster son (age 23 now) and my 16 year old practice tarot and divination in the dining room and smelling sweet aroma's of dragon's blood and other awesome stuff coming from my bedroom (my fiance').

Yes I do feel a little bad that now my mom is in my place how I was years ago but she has never been left out of any family events. She even took part in both my girls wiccaning and to be fair I offer to go with her to church so she doesn't have to sit there alone. So all in all we are doing pretty good co-existing with each other and to bad that's not how it is every where because its how it should be.

Below are just a few pics from around the house taken at different times just to give you an idea.
And remember don't ever give up on who you are or what you believe even if it seems the cards are against ya.

Love and Light......
Above is the dining room table after dinner. My oldest daughter, foster son and a friend left everything out when they were done practicing. Even the bbq sauce was left out, lol. It's in the center of the table.

Our cat Voodoo crashed out on his favorite rug. My pentacle rug which sits in front of my altar room.

And our backyard has the best view of the full moon. Yes our yard faces our beautiful Sandia Mountains as well. We are very lucky to have such a view. Also a picture I took of a fairy door we found at my youngest daughters favorite park to play. We were so excited we found it.

BLESSED BE!!!

Gone to long.....

Just wanted to say sorry for not posting in almost 3 months!!! Life has been crazy busy but I shall be blogging a lot more from here on out.

I'm back................................

Modern Goddess? Maybe....

In my many up's and down's in life there is many times I call upon the Goddess to help me out but I recently noticed that a lot of the time I get strength and power from a few well known females that in a way they might be considered modern Goddess.

I'm talking about music artists (even poet writers). I don't know about you but there are so many times in my life that when things aren't going so well that I just play that one song (or sometimes a few songs) that feels me with an feeling of empowerment. By listening to the lyrics of the songs knowing I'm not the only female who has felt a certain way or gone through a particular hard time in her life and hearing it from someone who is gorgeous, talented, and famous makes me feel even that much stronger. Knowing that all sisters of all walks of life have had to concur certain fears, crisis, hurts, etc. gives me comfort that I will too get over that certain event that feels so horrible at that particular moment.

Don't get me wrong I don't have a shrine or altar dedicated to these artists but I do see them as a type of Goddess that will help with their words (lyrics) when I need them.

So hey why not put in that fav CD of your music Goddess and honor them with a dance by helping you get over all the leaps and bounds a woman goes through in life.

Just a little something I wanted to share.

  INVOKE THE POWER OF "PINK"
TO KICK SOME MAJOR BUTT WHEN
YOU'RE DOWN.........................

OR INVOKE "BEYONCE" TO FEEL BEAUTIFUL,
TO HAVE COMPASSION YET BE STRONG IN
THE CHOICES YOU MAKE.........

This is just but a few I love to listen to but they are my favorites.
Blessed Be to all my magical sisters out there........

Farewell to Samhain....

Oh this Samhain was a fun, busy and event filled sabbat.
Friday October 28th was Halloween movie night with my little one and my bff. We got the older kiddos ready with their costumes cause they were headed out for a Halloween party. My oldest daughter was an 80's rocker chick, her best friend was a circus ring leader and my foster son was The Crow.

Saturday October 29th was all for the little one. First we went to Zoo Boo which is an event at our local zoo here where kiddos in costume get in free and they have live bands, treats and games going on and of course you get to see the animals. From there we headed across the street to Old Town which was having a Fall Fest  with a ton of things to do for the little ones. My baby girl had a blast.

Sunday October 30th was a day to make pecan pie, sugar skulls, candy apples, popcorn balls, candied pumpkin and a some family pumpkin carving fun.

Of course on Samhain was trick or treating for the kids, made some witches brew for them to drink when they got in from the cold and did my personal ritual late that night.

November 1st we cleaned and rested up but on the 2nd we celebrated Dia de los Muertos. Day of the Dead. We had a silent super here at home but we also grabbed some food and headed out to the graveyard and had a little picnic with my aunts, brother and grandparents. Gave them some roses, candles, sugar skulls and some of their favorite food. We left when it got just too cold to bare and said our goodbyes.

Now to wait till next year. In the meantime I have a sweet 16 birthday party to plan and start getting ready for Thanksgiving and Yule. Whew, what a busy time. Hope everyone out there had an awesome holiday as well.

Love and Light.......
